First, see how many chocolate bars would be needed to cover the United States again.

According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental (...), the surface of the continental United States, 7,902,634 square kilometers or 7.902634 x 10 ^ 6 km ^ 2nd Let's see how many inches:

7.902634 x 10 ^ 6 km ^ 2 * (10 ^ 5 cm / km) ^ 2 * (1 inch / 2.54 cm) ^ 2 = 1.224911 x 10 ^ 16 in ^ 2

So, if the basis of a marshmallow is 1 ^ 2, which would be 1.224911 x 10 ^ 16 marshmallows to cover the Continental U.S.

Now, if ordered by marshmallows stacked one on how many layers do we get?

6.02 x 10 ^ 23 marshmallows * 1 layer / 1.224911 x 10 ^ 16 marshmallows = 4.914643 x 10 ^ 7 layers.

These chocolates have a height of 1, so that the marshmallows 4.914643 x 10 ^ 7 cm in size run.

So to show my calculations, that the marshmallows are 776 miles deep. (I'm about 3 decimal places, because that is how much of 6.02 x 10 ^ 23 ha).
